Melon from the La Chauviniere lieudit, located on the top of the hillsides of the Maine river with well draining soil (sand, pebbles, gravel) on top of granite bedrock -- all elements that combine for early budbreak and perfectly ripe fruit in this little corner of Muscadet.
Vinified in foudre and oak barrels in an old monastery cellar by 4th generation vigneron Jeremie Huchet. Spent 52 months on the lees -- powerful, lithe and citrus driven. Will give Cru Chablis a run for its money!Â
