Langhe Nebbiolo 2023

A full bodied, ready to drink Nebbiolo from Barale Fratelli's young vines from their Costa di Rose Barolo vineyard. The fruit was softly tread, destemmed, fermented and macerated about 10 days, then aged 12 months in  500L Slovenian oak tonneaux, and further rested 6 months in bottle.
The Barale winery is one of the oldest estates in the Langhe, and was founded by Carlo Barale in 1870. It has been passed down from generation to generation, culminating in Eleonora and Gloria Barale running the estate. Despite the constant pressures to use oak barrique, the Barales don’t subscribe to this methodology and age their wine in large seaoned-oak barrels, letting the fruit speak for itself.
